The enzyme has been cloned from a variety of species including human, pig, rat, and mouse and has a molecular weight of approximately 60,000.{50,4150,4149,4152,4151} Northern blot analysis reveals that the gene is expressed in lung, kidney and spleen.{4152,4151}
