SJ000291942 (0.1-50 µM) induces ventralization, as well as increases expression of the BMP target genes bmp2b and szl and the cooperatively-induced BMP target genes vent and vox in zebrafish embryos. It also induces BMP-dependent osteoblastic differentiation of C2C12 murine myoblasts.
