Description
A trichothecene mycotoxin; induces production of ROS, increases in MDA levels, and apoptosis in PC12 cells from 5-100 nM; cytotoxic to HUVECs (IC50 = 6.8 ng/ml), as well as HepG2, A549, A204, U937, and Jurkat cancer cells (IC50s = 1.2-3.4 ng/ml); induces ulceration of the small intestine in, and is lethal to mice (LD50 = 5.69 mg/kg)
