A polyether ionophore antibiotic; has insecticidal and antibacterial properties; blocks ZIKV entry into U2OS, human microvascular endothelial cells, and placental Jeg3 cells (IC50s = 100, 400, and 970 nM, respectively); blocks ZIKV entry into certain primary cells; effective against West Nile, dengue, Sindbis, and chikungunya viruses in U2OS cells
