An anti-inflammatory flavonoid; inhibits IL-1β-stimulated nitric oxide and PGE2 production in patient-derived osteoarthritis chondrocytes from 20-80 µg/ml; inhibits IL-1β-stimulated expression of NOS and COX-2 and activation of MAPK and NF-κB signaling; prevents the loss of E-cadherin, the expression of vimentin, and collagen type-1 production in hydrogen peroxide-exposed human bronchial epithelial cells from 1-20 µM; inhibits ear swelling, the production of IL-2 and IL-4, and reduces serum IgE levels in a mouse model of atopic dermatitis at 1.5 mg/kg; reduces production of ROS, collagen fiber deposition, and autophagosome formation in epithelial lung tissue of ovalbumin-challenged mice from 10-20 mg/kg
