Fluocinolone acetonide is a synthetic fluorinated corticosteroid that acts as a glucocorticoid receptor agonist (IC50 = 2.0 nM in a radioligand binding assay).{39366} It increases transcriptional activity of the glucocorticoid receptor in HeLa cells (EC50 = 0.7 nM).
