A flavonoid with antioxidant activity; inhibits lipid peroxidation in a cell-free assay at 10 µM; decreases TBARS in rat plasma at 75 µmol/kg; prevents acute exercise-induced increases in TBARS, HEL, DT, and NT in rat liver at 600 mg/kg prior to exercise; an inhibitor of MAO-A and MAO-B (IC50s = 86.5 and 164 µM, respectively)
