Description
A flavanonol with diverse biological activities; scavenges DPPH radicals (IC50 = 0.235 μg/ml) and decreases AAPH-induced ROS generation in human erythrocytes (6 μg/ml); dose-dependently decreases proliferation and increases apoptosis in human liver carcinoma HepG2 cells; decreases tumor volume by 43.5% in a mouse xenograft model of HepG2 cells (500 mg/kg per day); binds to GABAA receptors in rat cortical membrane reparations (IC50 = 4.36 μM); dose-dependently reduces LORR in ethanol-intoxicated rats; improves cognitive deficits in a mouse model of Alzheimer’s disease (2 mg/kg for three months)
