A second generation anticoagulant rodenticide; an inhibitor of VKOR that inhibits blood clotting; inhibits human VKORC1 (IC50 = 1.6 nM); toxic to rodents, including mice (LD50 = 1.75 mg/kg) and rats (LD50s = 1.05 and 1.83 mg/kg for males and females, respectively); does not significantly affect breeding performance in mice at 70% of the LD50 value
