A monoterpene glycoside with diverse biological activities; prevents increases in ROS, nitrotyrosine, and mitochondrial superoxide levels induced by antimycin A in MC3T3-E1 osteoblastic cells at 0.1 and 1 μM; increases the paw withdrawal threshold and decreases spinal cord levels of IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α, and CXCL1 in rat model of CCI-induced neuropathic pain at 50 mg/kg; decreases the time spent immobile in the forced swim and tail suspension tests in mice at 3.5, 7, and 14 mg/kg, indicating antidepressant-like effects
