Description
A fungal metabolite with diverse biological activities; induces reducing sugar release in embryoless rice endosperms from 3-100 mg/L; enhances growth of rice seedlings (O. sativa) in combination with gibberellin A3 from 30-500 mg/L; reduces growth of C. albicans, C. neoformans, T. rubrum, and A. fumigatus (MICs = 12.5, 50, 50, and 50 μg/ml, respectively); cytotoxic to HL-60, MKN45, LoVo, and A549 cells (IC50s = 64.87-182.92 μM); has been used as a standard for dereplication of natural products
